An Easier Way

You know I always think that there should an easier way to do things. Like when an author describes something in a really weird and confusing way instead just using a normal, understandable, sentence. Like when a person says something looks like a raging blue prairie instead of just saying that the water foamed and crashed around the boat (from Moby Dick). Or when all those linguists tried to figure out ancient Egyptian texts. They should have just asked an ancient Egyptian. And all the scientists who calculated the circumference of the world, they could have just used a tape-measure. Seriously though, some book descriptions are not understandable.

43301993.557

So we were doing the dishes, (Christopher, Jonathan, and I) and for some reason Christopher felt the need to brag about how great he thought his memory was. So Jonathan and I decided to test his amazing memory. We told him to remember 43301993.557… and he immediately forgot it. It really was an unfair test, but maybe Christopher’s memory isn’t quite as great as he thought it was.

Longbow Performs Valentine’s Day

A big thanks to everyone at our Valentine’s day performance! We all had a great time entertaining and the audience was great!

We met a lot of very interesting people, including a nice lady who gave Anne and Veronica hand made chocolate grand pianos (Christopher and Robert got a bunny and a butterfly).

We all had a great time and hope to see you all at our next public performance on the 26th!

Roo Is Missing!

So, Veronica’s stuffed kangaroo, Roo, has been missing for the past three days, and Veronica has been worrying about where he is, and asking people if they have it. So, she decided she to give whoever found it a paper pearl as a reward. A little while later Christopher found it, and Veronica was so excited she decided to preform some sort of ceremony to honor Christopher. But, do you know how Christopher found Roo? He looked! Yep, the whole time Veronica was fretting about Roo she hadn’t even looked for him.

St. Valentine!

Happy St. Valentines day everyone! I know most of you are probably thinking Valentines day is a day all about love and sappy stuff like that, but no, it’s MANLY! It celebrates the martyrdom of a priest, who the Romans killed because he refused to stop performing the sacrament of matrimony… Okay so it’s a little sappy… But it’s mostly MANLY!!!

Santa In A Candle?

So, recently we started burning the “Santa In A Candle” candle again, (it almost feels like Christmas again) and the wax had all melted so we were considering pulling Santa out. But that would ruin our great new tradition. Besides, Santa had already fallen over in the wax. This leaves me with an important question: should we continue calling it “Santa In A Candle, or should we rename it “Santa In Carbonite”. I think we should continue calling it “Santa In A Candle” during Christmas, but “Santa In Carbonite” the rest of the year. It just seems more seasonally appropriate that way.

Azaleas!

Since I was already talking about plants Yesterday, I figured I would show off theĀ azaleas that grow outside our house. Most of the time the bushes actually look wilted and mostly dead. They’re really kinda sad looking. But when they bloom, they bloom like crazy, growing bright pink flowers all over them. Why can’t they look like this all the time?

My Herb Garden!

So, a while ago (and I do mean a while ago) I wrote a blog post about the small beginning of my herb garden. Now all my work has finally paid off. My garden is now producing Parsley, Basil, and it’s slowing growing Pineapples. Turns out you can twist the tops off store bought pineapples and grow new ones from the top. The pineapples are not actually producing fruit yet, (it takes them something like 2 years to flower) but they are still growing and have established roots. And this is the newest plant in my garden. I’m not sure how it got there, but it’s in the garden so I must have planted it. Now if only I could figure out how to get the roots started growing… Then we could eat golf ball fruit!
