Strange Art

Stephen walked in this morning and said, “I don’t get art.” This was somewhat concerning since Stephen is our main artist  for the H.A.T.S. http://leagueofthelongbow.com/H.A.T.S./ and over all considers himself quite the artist. However when he showed us the pictures it makes a bit more sense.   Bright FreedomBright Space thing 1426767769926  1426767824512

Unique aren’t they?

These were found at Florida Polytechnic University. Good stuff!

An Interesting Game

The other day Christopher, Robert, Nathaniel, Veronica, and Anne were all practicing when Veronica came running out of the room and ran down the hallway saying blah blah blah and waving her arms like a bird. When she was asked why she said, she was trying to see how many times she could say blah in the time it took her to her room and then back again. I think she was just being silly.

What a goof!

Pepita

The other day Veronica kept asking people how to spell certain words. When I asked her why she told me that she was writing a story. This is what she wrote.

Pepita

Once upon a time there was a King and Queen. Soon they had a child they named Pepita. Now readers you must know that Pepita did not know that she was a princess but she grew (and) when she was 4 or 5 she knew that she was a princess given by a fairy. She loved to play. The End

I added the (and) and some punctuation to make it a little more clear but other wise it is unedited. This is what it looks like straight from the scanner.

The two symbols at the bottom are fairy wings and a crown. I think it was pretty good!

Blinded With Science!

Nathaniel was doing a science experiment the other day, which was fairly interesting. He put syrup on the bottom of a cup and then added water. Because the syrup was denser than the water it caused it to sit on the top of the syrup instead of just becoming really gross water. He then added oil and the oil being the least dense of the three liquids floated on top of the water making three clear layers. He then did what any self-respecting scientist would do and threw in what seemed like random junk: a rock, two grapes, an ice cube, and a piece of cork. The rock sank to the bottom and the rest, being decreasing densities sank/floated to their perspective layers with the cork, being least dense, floating on the top layer, the oil. This is what it looked like.HPIM4045
Pretty cool right.
