The little boys and I had to do some “gardening” in the front flower bed last week because it had gotten kinda overgrown, and some of the bushes had died.  So while Christopher mowed the lawn, Robert and I weeded the flower bed.  And weeded.  And weeded.  And weeded until it was finally all weeded out.  This is what it looked like afterwards. Mom says I should plant something there, but I think it looks fine.

I never actually wrote a blog post about the time we went to Dinosaur World so I figured I could write one now.  We went to Dinosaur World when Dad, Mom, Anne, and Veronica were in Ohio at a wedding.  We were greeted at the door by the Iron Triceratops Sentry.  We found him very agreeable and he even let us take a picture with him.  Once inside we found one of Stephen old friends.  I mean really old friend: he’s practically a fossil now.Christopher had a narrow escape from a T-Rex.I wasn’t so lucky.While we were looking at some dinosaur fossils we saw a strange lump on one T-Rex’s head.Though apparently they are born with it. We also met these sad fellows.We didn’t know why they were sad, but it seemed polite to join in.  Maybe this was one of their friends.My favorite of all the dinosaurs is this one. Pretty cool, huh?

Yesterday Jonathan and I went to the eye doctor.  Jonathan was going in to get his eyes checked and to get new glasses, and I was going in for a follow up for the contacts I had gotten the week before.  So today the new frames for Jonathan were in and my contacts were in so Stephen went to get them and to have his sunglasses adjusted.  During the morning a man came in from the insurance company to replace the windshield on Dad’s car because the old one was cracked.  Then, during the dinner dishes Robert broke a glass.  So all in all it was a day of glass at our house.

Last Sunday I started grilling at six… a.m.  It happened like this.  We planned to go to the beach on Sunday and, we left at five a.m. since we wanted to get there early and, the beach is two hours from our house.  Right after we left the house Mom checked the weather and, found that it was very likely to rain.  Because of this we turned around and, went home.  The weather was predicted to be clear for the afternoon so, we planned to go out then.  Since we were planning on making chicken that day and, we definitely couldn’t make it that night, I went out to make the chicken.  It was about a half an hour after we got back home and, most of the neighbors were still asleep.  I started making the chicken just as the sun was coming up.  When I had finished the chicken we ate it for breakfast and, discussed our plans for what we were going to do that evening besides going to the beach and, as it turns out while I was grilling the chicken it was decided that we were going to see the new live action Cinderella in theaters.  Cinderella was an excellent movie.  In fact, I might do a review of it soon.  We also learned that it never actually rained that morning.  Ironically, as we pulled out of our driveway and began our journey it started to rain.

Things have been very busy around here since we have started on new merchandise for Longbow.  We have a new postcard in the works for Comic Con.  We are working on a new comic.  We might even make a Longbow coffee mug.  The high point of all we are doing, however, are the origami figures we are making for some of the comics.  We are making specially designed Longbow dinosaurs for comic #1.  Not all the dinosaurs will be specially designed but, all the dinosaurs will be specially colored.  We also have a new form of animation, we will be using at some point.

Last night Stephen and Nicholas were out with some friends and everyone else except Jonathan and I were in bed.  We own a GameCube and we had to go to bed soon anyway, so I suggested we all play a quick round of Kirby Air Ride before we went to bed.  Nicholas, Jonathan, and Stephen had not played the game in a while so in the end only Stephen played with me.  As I said Stephen had not played the game in a while, so I got a better ship than he did and blew his ship up.  At the end of the round, however, you had to fly into a number board and whoever got the most points would win.  I lost miserably.

While Mom, Dad, Anne, and Veronica were on vacation the week before last, all the boys went Go Kart racing one of the days they were gone.  There were two different tracks you could race on.  One of the tracks had a lot of turns in it, the other track while it still had turns they weren’t as sharp, there weren’t as many of them, and with longer stretches of track at a time.  The karts start off really slow and gradually gets faster unless you run into something (which when you are beginning is really hard not to do) a lot in which case the kart is slowed down dramatically because the people who own the karts do not want the karts broken.  When you get better at driving you can drive around the track without having to slow down.  At this point you can get up to very good speeds, and when this happens if you haven’t used the brakes up to that point, you either HAVE to use the brakes or use the gas a lot less.  We raced three races and had a lot of fun.  Sadly, since we were all racing we could not take any pictures.
